We offer guided off-road runs in Scotland, tailor-made to requirements, from short runs providing an introduction to off-road running (both on and off trail), to multiday ('fastpacking') outings. Dates and locations to suit.
While running is our niche, we can also provide guiding for walking and multiday expeditions, within the usual remit of the Mountain Leader qualification.
Introduction to Hillcraft for Runners
One day, on-the-run, introduction to running in the hills. Covers equipment, planning, understanding terrain and route finding, basics of mountain safety, as well as environmental impact. For further details see the course description.

A half-day introduction to the key navigation tools and techniques. Suitable for both walkers and runners. Takes place in Stirlingshire. For further details see the course description.
Basics of Mountain Navigation
One day, hands-on, introduction to navigation in the hills. Suitable for both walkers and runners, both for those with minimal hands-on experience, and as a refresher / practice session. Normally takes place in the Ochils (Stirlingshire). For further details see the course description.
A hands-on nighttime session on developing and executing navigation strategies for restricted visibility. Suitable for both walkers and runners. Runs October - late March in the Ochils (Stirlingshire), and the Pentlands (near Edinburgh). For further details see the course description.
